NORFOLK HOUSEHOLD RECYCLING CENTRES AND COVID-19
During these unprecedented times recycling and waste disposal has been highlighted as a Key Worker function. It's through the Key Worker dedication and the waste and recycling infrastructure that has allowed UK households and industries to maintain a near normal service .
Glazewing has played its part in this by supporting the recycling sites of Norfolk during the pandemic. Our dedicated staff were ready to re-start the scrap collections the moment Norfolk CC re-opened the sites. This re-opening was done in a staged fashion, opening the larger sites first and working through the sites until all were re-opened.
New measures were put in place to comply with Government guidelines such as:
- Social distancing
- Traffic management to ensure sites were able to cope and comply
- Revised PPE and cleaning methods
Together with NORSE all sites were able to re-open safely and with new measures being adhered to.
