Glazewing COVID 19 Statement
The Government have recognised that frontline staff who work in the collection, processing, recycling and disposal of waste, including scrap metal are designated as critical workers. Therefore, Glazewing will remain operational and support the waste supply chain during this critical time.
Glazewing will continue to closely monitor the developments in COVID-19, our top priority is the health of our employees, customers and suppliers. We therefore have decided to take further steps to avoid transmission of infection to our staff and suppliers.
From 25th March 2020 to protect our employees and the local community, we will only accept material from current business accounts.
Upon arrival please report to weighbridge. Only one person allowed in the weighbridge reception area at any one time, please use the anti-bacterial wipes/sanitiser supplied.
To maintain social distancing, please leave the paperwork on the counter and step back. The weighbridge staff will process the paperwork and return to the counter. Only collect your paperwork when the weighbridge staff have stepped away from the counter and advised that is safe to collect.
After preparing the vehicle for offloading, drivers must return to their cabs before Glazewing’s staff approach to conduct inspection or to offload the material by our material handlers.
Container drivers remain in their cab during the loading and unloading of their container.
Glazewing will insist and enforce social distance at our site to protect both our employees and customers.
If you display any symptoms of COVID 19 we will ask you to leave our premises in order to protect those on site.
Glazewing will review the situation daily and implement further measures if required. We aim to resume normally service as soon as the Government adjusts its guidance, we will keep you informed.
